Christmas

So this christmas was somewhat a historic one for me. That is if I choose to use a big word about what many would see as a small thing, but I like christmas eve so lets leave it at that, historic. For the first time did my family spend time with my fathers sister and her family. It has for as long as I can remember always been a tradition that we spend christmas day with them, where we also dance around the christmas tree and get presents. However due to how things have changed we decided to do it like this, this year.

For dinner we had both roast pork, duck and goose. So as you might guess, there were plenty, and it was good. Though I missed my grandmothers meatballs. The rest of the evening was pretty much like every other christmas eve, after dinner dancing around the tree and getting presents. We were nine people, which equals a lot of present, and we were done with those around midnight, then random talking for some time. I think we were home around 2.

Christmas day we made a small visit at my grandparents for afternoon coffee, and some christmas lunch just the five of us at home for dinner in the evening. At nine I met with some of my friends from school for some partying, most of which I haven't seen the last six months. That was really nice except for the fact that I didn't drink, as I had to be at the civil defence next morning at 7:35 and drove up there during the night just after the party.

First day at the civil defence was spent catching up on some sleep and watching Harry Potter 3, 4 and 5. Next day we had to do a little work. I washed a firetruck and helped carrying some tubes. Rest of the day was spent on some random TV, inet and such.

Not much left to say about my christmas but the ultimate question: What did I get for christmas?

  • Real Wall Clock
  • Travelling adaptor
  • 300 DKr
  • Ekspert voucher for 250 DKr
  • 2gb MiniSD card
  • KAOS shampoo
  • Need For Speed Pro Street
  • Travelling kit including: Pocket towel, soap, toothbrush, padlock, travelling adaptor

Avril La -FUCKING- vigne

Okay the last post was pretty angry, so I would just like that say that being in the civil defence is not all that bad, I've actually come to like it pretty well. Lovable co-conscripts, fun drills ect. Though no real fires ect. ever happens. One day left and I have christmas holiday, that's awesome anyway though :) and I'll be done on 30th January.

Lately I've been thinking about what I wanna do when I finish, and I've come up with a plan for the next half year more of less. No actual plan, but like mainly what I'd like to do, and then we'll see if it will happen.

Some evening when I was watching a few music videos I got the idea that I could travel around a bit to some concerts. Practically none of the artist that I listen to have I ever seen live, so now would be the time to do it. So I plan to get an interrail ticket (train ticket with which you can travel around as much you want in europe for x days) and then find some concerts. So far I've found a handfull or so artist that are touring in europe in the spring that I'd like to see, and just earlier today I started laying out a more detailed plan of which I'm going to when and where.

Those I have in mind are:

  • Nightwish
  • Natasha Bedingfield
  • Sophie Ellis Bextor
  • Alicia Keys
  • Kelly Clarkson
  • Sugababes
  • Nelly Furtado
  • Stacie Orrico

These are all touring in europe around February - March - April. So the plan might to do some of these in the spring and then see if any interesting are touring in the summer and take another trip then.

Somewhere in the middle of this planning I got an email from the Avril Lavigne fanclub saying that she would extend her american tour to also include europe, somewhere around June. Her being propably between my 3 favourite artist that was something I could not miss, so as the ticketsale started at 10.00 I went to the computer room in the lunch break and bought a ticket for the copenhagen concert, on June 26. Then time must tell if that'll be the only concert in the summer of if I find some others aswell.

One mad mad kopa

My whole childhood I've always wanted some radio controlled (RC) car that could run fast. I've had a few small ones but they've been really slow and boring. So one day a little while ago as I was surfing QXL.dk I remembered I had once bid on an RC car there. So I did some searching and found there to be some interesting ones there. So I bought one that uses nitro fuel (new, from some store that sells on QXL) and got it last thursday. Friday I got fuel for it. But that's where the fun stopped...

I haven't been able to get it started yet, and have been used quite some hours during the weekend, and now the pull starter is stuck. AREGGRAGJH it's so frustating buying something and looking forward to using it but can't because it's fucking hard to make it work. Besides this I'm getting pretty tired of the civil defence. Long days and having to stay there some evenings and weekends and shit. However sundays are the worst, I'm always like "now there's 10 hours left of weekend", "now there's 4 hours left" ect. ect. fuck I hate it.

As you might guess I haven't been in the best mood today. It helped a bit by rewatching A lot like love just now though.

Not that I have anything to write about..

..but I have nothing else to do while waiting for Cashback, the short movie, to load at video.google.com. Saw the full movie a while ago and loved it. Anyway, I haven't done that much this weekend. Mostly watched series, as I haven't had that much time to watch them during the week so had a lot to catch up on.

Next week will have a lot going on. I have guard (right word? thing where I have to stay barracks to be ready if a fire starts) tuesday, some drill wednesday that takes all day, some smoke diving drill as far as I know, and then I have guard again next weekend, so have to stay there the whole weekend :I Good thing is I might get around to start reading one the books I bought then.

Weekends are too short aren't they? :) Oh how I look forward to the end of this month when I start having every friday off, and will have so the rest of the time in the civil defence.

Ten feet high

I made a very nice discovery friday. Something that somehow haven't come to my attention untill just now. Andrea Corr has this summer released a solo album. Being a huge The Corrs fan (of which she's the lead singer) this would be a major event for me, and something I would pre order weeks ahead if I had known. Anyway I've ofcourse ordered it now. As I'm ordering from CD-wow it will take some days before it arrives, damn I can't wait.

Along with Ten Feet High (the Andrea Corr album) I ordered two other CD's. Good Charlotte - Good Morning Revival, which I've decided that I want after hearing their second single, and Kelly Clarkson - My December. I have only heard the first sinlge of Kelly Clarkson, which I didn't like too much, not bad either at all, but her previous album was really nice, so I'm taking a leap of faith that this will be aswell.

Normandy (part 2)

Tuesday 10 July
Today it rained a lot, but eventhough we decided to drive to Omaha Beach. Luckily enough the rained stopped as we came closer to the sea. Had been looking forward to see Omaha Beach, but well, it's just a beach and a few bunkers. Around where we were there were two bunkers and a memorial sign for the 5th Engineer Troop. But now I can say I've pied on Omaha Beach ;-). After this we drove to the american graveyard. Quite big it was. Not just many graves, but also a huge entrance portal ect. Everything there were just big. Something I found interesting there was the gravestones for those who they didn't know who were, they said: Here rest in honoured peace, a comrade in arms, known but to god. Also I could reconize the pathways from Saving Private Brian (if I'm not totally mistaken).

Then we checked out another part of the beach, which had a huge memorial sculpture. Tried to find a certain museum that seemed good, but we didn't manage to find it. So we gave up and started to drive home, but after driving a few minutes we came by it, and went in. It was mildly interesting, had a lot of stuff from the war. Guns and whatever. That was the end of the day. I had really been looking forward to seing all the D-day things, but when it comes down to it, it isn't really that interesting to see. A beach is a beach.

Wednesday 11 July
Wednesday we got up rather early to get as much out of the day as possible. We drove to Giverny, which was some 1-2 hour drive. This is where Monet's garden is located (that painter you if you don't know). The garden is divided into two parts, one on each side of the road with a tunnel between them. The first part was pretty boring. Many of the flower was something you can see in Denmark aswell and many wasn't flowering. Didn't look more beautiful than our vegetable garden. The second part however was much nicer, with a large lake with bridges, bamboos and other larger trees/bushes ect. Quite nice.

From there we drove to Rouen, a rather large city. Here we looked at some shops, none of them really interesting though. Was on a café and saw three large churches, one of them being some Jeanne d'arc memorial church, placed right next to where she was burned. This was a quite new church, and really nice designed. As we walked around I got quite hungry and found a place I could buy a pizza, which I bought from a quite cute pizza lady <3 At this I also had to pee, but what a sucky city with no restrooms :I I still hadn't found a place to do so when we started looking for some place to eat dinner, which we did for some time. Everywhere they had only french menu cards, and none of us can much french, so we never found a place in Rouen to eat. So we started driving home and found some place on the highway to eat. We came by a quite nice restaurant actually ( where I could finally pee ;) ). Then we drove home, and in the evening I did a little phone IRC.

First step

Over the past year or so I've developed a new possible "dream job", screenplay writer. I've had a few ideas for possible movies or TV series, but never done anything about it. So I thought now was the time. I start by ordering a few books about writing screenplays so I can get some insight into how you write them ect. This lead to an amazon order just a few minutes ago, ordering the following books:

So as you can see I bought three books about screenplay writing. The Notebook and A Walk to Remember are Nicholas Sparks novels, both of which I've seen the movie, and totally loved (both are in my top 10 favourites). I think I've decided I want to see the movies of his novels before reading the books, but then the question is which are going to be made into a movie and which are not so I can just read them. But I'll start with these two anyway. The last, Norwegian Wood, was recommended by skint0r and looked interesting so I'm trying it out.

It turned out to be a quite expensive order (72£) but I earn quite a lot at the moment, so what the heck. I'm quite annoyed of amazon showing the prizes without VAT though. :I

Saving the ferry

So this danish ferry sailed into a pier in Hirtshals, a city on the northwestern danish coast. So the danish civil defence (which I'm a part of at the moment) had to go help it out. The collolision with the pier had caused a lot of holes in the ferry, which also led to some oil waste. There's at all times 14 people ready on the barracks to set out if something happens, fire or whatever. The alarms rang sometime the night between Monday and Tuesday, and they took up there to help out.

It was quite a big job so the people up there had to be replaced, which meant that I and 19 others took up there Wednesday at noon. First thing we did when we got up there was eating our lunch and waiting some time. Then we were told to get ready in the right clothes for action. After changing we were divided into two groups, which would do shifts, so there were time to rest aswell. I was on the team that starting with resting. So this meant that before I even started doing anything I had also eating dinner (which were by the way the worst french fries I've ever tasted), and the clock as 18.

First thing I did was carrying a small pump into the ship. Before I had a change to carry anymore stuff into the ferry the diver required some help, so me and another one helped him getting a big plate under the ship so patch one of the holes. Max felt I did important job there 8). After this was done I came over to those taking the oil out of the water. There wasn't much to do there though, except holding a rope and changing position of the machine doing the job every once in a while. I was there untill 1:30 in the night when we were told we could go to sleep except one or two to watch the machine.

I don't really know how long I slept but slept untill breakfast (rundstykker). At this time there wasn't that much to do. I was at the oil place again, and did some minor stuff. This went on untill around 10-11 o'clock, when we started pack up some of our stuff so there were room for some boat which was going in the water at 15:00. When we were done making space for it a new group of people came to replace us, so we could come home. Just before going home we had some lunch aswell.

Normandy (part 1)

Saturday 7 July
As previously mentioned I went on vacation to Normandy with my family this summer. Lineup included my mom, dad, sister and myself. We've rented a small cottage in a small town some 20 km from the coast. We started driving down there saturday 7 july at 0:01. I drove the car some thwo hours in the beginning after which I did some sleeping in the car while my father drove.

We drove through Germany, Holland and Belgium. One thing that struck me was how these countries have such stoneage fuelstations. Like no one had credit card payment. Pretty lame having to go into the shop to pay, while your car still stands at the fuelstation making the ones behind you wait even longer.

Anyway, we arrived at our cottage around 17:00 where we met the owner who showed us around in the house. After this we went for a little walk around the area, had something to eat and played a little "vikinggame" and some other random stuff untill we went to sleep. The house didn't exactly have the best power supply. As I lied in my bed with the bedlamp on reading some magazine the lamp suddenly turned up the volume. Which we figured was because someone else turned off their's.

Sunday 8 July
In this small city called Pont L'eveque which was some 2 km next to our house there was a marked sunday in the late morning. It was a rather small marked, most of the stands sold some kind of food. All the people standing in the stands were wearing middleage clothes, and there were also some people dancing and such. So there were a nice atmosphere. Nicest thing though was this one girl in one of the stands, pretty cute. It rained while we were there so we weren't there for long, not that there were that much stuff interesting anyway.

In the afternoon we went to bayeux where there is this sown tapestry of the 1066 Norman invasion of England. 50cm width and 70 meters long. Quite nice. To our surprise there were some middleage marked in this city aswell when we were there. So we walked around a bit to check it out. Before we went back to our house me and my sister had a pizza, while my parents had something to drink. Who cares about famous french food when you can get a pizza. <3

Monday 9 July
Monday morning we slept kind of long. I don't know why that's interesting but I wrote that in my notes, so now you know. Today we wanted to see some of the cities along the beach. The first one I saw was Deauville, which is known for a nice beach and many rich people. This turned out to be probably the best thing on the entire trip. Deauville was just such a beautiful city, with the beach, parks and big, nice houses, casinos and such. An amazing sight. If (read: when) I ever get rich and wanna buy some big house on the beach, this will be where I'll buy it.

We walked a little along the beach and went for ice creams. I tried out an Magnum Coco, which was quite nice. Afterwards we drove into downtown city and walked a bit around there to look at the city and a few shops. A beautiful city here aswell. Here we saw both female police on horses and male police on bikes.

When done in Deauville we drove along the beach to the city next to called Honflour. We walked a bit around here aswell, and finally found somewhere to eat, in a restaurant called Le Cursaire. Nice food, but bad seatings. First dinner was some "seaplate". This consisted of all kinds of snails, mussels, oysters ect. Didn't quite look nice at first, but all the things that I dared to eat (which was most of it) tasted rather well.

Grill

As I saw we were going to have some meat for dinner that fitted well for grill I asked my mom if we could grill it, and see agreed. So I started up the grill some hour ago. I've now putted the meat in bbq sauce and some sausages on it, which should be ready soon. So I'll leave again, see you next time.

Last night of freedom

Or something like that. Tomorrow I start serving the country. As told before I'm not going to normal military service, but this thing where you learn to be a fireman and such, which is according to ordbogen.com called the Danish Emergency Management Agency in english.

Let's hope it will be fun!

Oh My Fucking God

..and that is what I have to say about that.

Okay a little more details. If you haven't been following the Tour De France this is what has happened: Dane Michael Rasmussen was leading with 4 stages left and seemed a sure winner. However his team Rabobank fired him and took him out of the Tour because he might have lied about where he was in June (they have to report where they are at all times so they can be checked for doping).

I first read about this when someone posted a link to l'equipe's website in IRC sometime short past 23:00 that evening. At first me and Zerox agreed that it couldn't be true as Rabobank had been very supportive of him in the case so far. But as the next hour went by more and more websites made news about it and I had to realise it was true. Danish TV2 even made a special TV News program about it. As a big cycling and Tour De France fan this made me very sad, and I can't even start to imagine how he himself must be feeling.

It would have been something completely different he it had been tested positive for doping, but he hasn't, he has 17 negative doping test from this year's Tour De France alone. The whole thing is just really fucked up. The International cycling union UCI says there's no reason he should be taken out of the Tour. Rabobank boss Theo de Roij was presured by the Tour De France management ASO to take him out, who for some fucked up reason doesn't like him. It's based on one attention-whore who says he saw him in Italy when he should be in Mexico and the extensive hunting for scoops by the press. You get the feeling that many people in organisations like ASO and danish DCU really hate cyclists, and that sport journalists are failed sportsmen who couldn't make it themselves and then need to get their anger out by suspecting those he did succed for doping and shit. Why can't they just focus on the sport itself instead of constantly trying to find someone they can suspect of something? This one danish newspaper said after this episode that they would stop writing about Tour De France and focus about doping. Which is propably the stupiest thing I've ever heard.

ARGH It just makes me so angry!!!

To me Michael Rasmussen will always be the moral winner of this Tour De France. As a danish comentator said: It was the second best who won.

On a side note this thing also costed me 470 euro as I'd betted on Michael Rasmussen to win the Tour and would have won that.

New Phone

After five years of loyal service I decided to let my old Nokia 3310 free on the eternal mobile networks.

I bought a new one around the end of june, through my phone company Telmore, so that I could still use the same number. They have these offers where you can buy a phone for 27€ and then I have to use atleast 27€ each month for the next six months. So practically it costed 188€ and with free SMS/calls/GPRS (as I never use even near 27€ a month). Though I might start using some more since it has gprs which I didn't have before. Anyway, it's a Nokia 6131. I had no special need for a new phone, but I just wanted to try some of all the new features available such as gprs. Also I wanted a phone which you can fold up. It has pretty much all features there is except 3g ones. It has a 1.3 mp camera, I don't really care much for that though, that just happened to be in the phone I wanted. I guess it's pretty hard to find any without camera nowadays.

Graduation parties

At the day of my last exam we had a small gathering for family and some friends from the neighborhood. What happened was basically me getting some presents, eating and talking. I got an alphabeat CD, dynamo label thing (exhanged in the shop for money), office chair, money and some stuff for when I'm moving to own place.

The next weekend we did this thing which is tradition for graduates to do in Denmark. Driving around to everyone in the class and getting a little to eat each place ect. We started friday morning in horse wagon driving around to those living close to the city of the school. It rained much of the time but that didn't mattered too much as there were good mood and such. At some time in the afternoon we changed to a bus in order to get around to some of those living the furthest away. The party mood kinda dumped at this point, either because of the warm bus and no need to jump around to keep warm of because of tiredness. Maybe both I guess. Anyway we ended somewhere getting dinner and drinking, talking, partying ect. untill around midnight when some went into the city, I went home.

The next day we had to meet in school at 8:00 in order to get class pictures taken before the thing where we get our examination certificates. This whole ceremony was boring at some times, but there were also some interesting stuff, such as the speech by my IT teacher and by one of the students. Anyway, I got my certificate, said hello to my parents and brother and sister, and then it was time to continue where we left off last night. This time in a truck, driving around to those living medium far away from the school, including me. It rained at first but soon stopped and it was quite a sunny day. A great and funny day with a good mood all the way through. We ended at this guy from my class called Happy for lumpsters and partying. Including card drinking games, beer drinking games and such. At some time past midnight we went into the city. One of the better evenings of that kind. Besides those from my class there was a lot of other people I knew, and at this dicoteque called Buddy Holly there was a stripper.

All in all two extremely great days. <3

Last exams and results

After spanish exam I had the IT exam. The IT exam is a presentation of a large induvidual project we've made duing the school year. Should be about some kind of graphical user interface, and everyone made a website. You can see mine on kopaka.dk/joomla. Anyway, the presentation went pretty well and I got a 10 for presentation, and an 11 for the written project.

The results of the written exams are put up a dashboard on the school, I went there some day to check it out. Quite disapointing though. 8 in danish, which was fine. 8 in math in which I usually get around 10. ;( And 6 in spanish, quite disapointing aswell, eventhough I normally get around 7 I expected a lot more than 6.

The last exam was law. There were two different subject in my exam, the first one went pretty well, but in the second one I mixed some stuff up and got a 7.

Overall I got an average of 8.2. This also includes the grades you get for what you do during the lessons. I'm not quite satisfied with this. My goal was to get 9. Or atleast 8.7 so I get 9 including the bonus I get for having three subjects on A niveau. I don't know yet if this really matters for me though. Your grade doesn't really matter unless you wanna go to some popular education, which there has a high grade requirement.

List of Bests update

I've made a few updates to my lists of bests lists. On the movie list I will be adding new movies whenever I watch any worthy of getting there, without removing any, untill it becomes a top 100. As for the hottest people list, I plan to make that a top50 whenever I find the last 5.

My favorite movies
New:
A Walk to Remember - no. 9
The Shawshank Redemption - no. 29
Letters from Iwo Jima - no. 43
Changes:
The Notebook 6 -> 4
Garden State 18 -> 15
Toy Story 1&2 24 -> 23

Hottest People
New:
Sarah Chalke - no. 30
Rachel Bilson - no. 31
Keri Russel - no. 34
Tara Reid - no. 41

Spanish exam

I had my spanish exam this friday. The exam consisted of 3 parts. First one a presentation of an optional subject, but related to Spain somehow. I had choosen War of the Pacific. Secondly un unknown text and thirdly two questions to a known text. The presentation went pretty well, I had went through it many times at home, so I could do it without looking much at my cue-cards. Which seems to be one of my strengths, at both this and the danish exam they said I was good at not looking too much at my notes. The two other parts didn't went so well I thought, was kinda hard to remember the words I wanted to use. Anyway it couldn't have gone totally bad, as I got a 9.

Saving the best for last

Had my oral danish exam this tuesday. I wasn't happy for getting this exam (you don't have exam in all subjects) as it's the subject where I get the lowest grade, for oral that is. I had before this been at four oral danish exams, from 9th grade till now, and in average I haven't passed.

Quick introduction to danish grade system:
Possible grades: 00 - 03 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 10 - 11 - 13
You need 6 to pass and 11 correspond to the english/american A, and 13 is zweq in internals.

In marks for the year's work I somehow got a 7 though. Anyway back to this exam. It's 1 hour preperation and 25 minutes exam. I draw two folksongs from the middle ages. The middle ages was propably my prefered catagory, though I on beforehand had prefered a fairytale. However it went pretty well and I got a 8. Went home with quite a relief.

So to say I saved the best for last, as this is my best grade in danish oral ever. And now I will never have that subject ever again. \o/

hot in here

I have over the last few days consumed maybe a hundred litres of water. It's so damn hot. I've since the last exam not been doing much apart from reading for the next exams. Not that I've done that 24/7, but I haven't done much serious stuff other than that. I've been watching a lot of Scrubs. It's still really good the second time around. After finishing that I'll catch up with some shows which I haven't seen yet.

On the fourth Alias season 5 was released in denmark (on that page where I bought it atleast). Have been waiting for that day for while. I ordered a few other DVDs aswell:
Office Space
Das leben der Anderen
Planet of the Apes Collection (5 movies)
and Alias The Video Game, which they luckily had.

When I got the DVDs I wanted to update my DVDprofiler but it turns out they had released a new version in which you can only use all the features if you have less than 50 DVDs or pay 30$. I have over 50 dvds, so that means I can add them, but the new ones won't be added to the online profile. So that sucks. Hopefully I can find some other good program like it, do you know any?

Oh ye, and if the rest of you elma bloggers read this, make some new posts dammit, I wan't to have something to read =).

First three exams

During last week and the week before I had my three first exams, they were all written exams. Danish, Math and Spanish. In the danish exams I wrote an argumentation analysis of an article about cycling and doping. For math there was pretty many exercises, but I managed to make them all in time except one which I didn't knew how to make. Spanish was some text about child labour, for which there were some questions, a translation and an exercise where I had to write a letter. All in all I think they all went fairly ok.

There's still some time till the next exam, which is the 12. The four exams left are all oral. Next one is danish, but I've been reading for the spanish the last few days, as the two next exams are coming quite close after (15. and 18.). The last exam though isn't untill the 27. Beside danish, it's IT, spanish and law.

But daaaame it's boring to read for exams ;(

Home Alone

From tuesday afternoon till thursday afternoon I was home alone, as my sister sleeps on the school and my parents were in copenhagen. This meant good food, movies with max voice volume and walking around naked. Okay maybe not the last thing..

Saw Night at the Museum, Flags of Our Fathers and Letters From Iwo Jima. The two war movies was nice with max voice volume :P

Tuesday evening I made pommes frites and sausages, and wednesday evening I bought a large BigMac meal.

Sweet summer

You gotta love summer, when it begins to get warmer, and girls begin to wear less and less clothes. :b~

Prom Night

Last night we had senior prom for my year. It started 17:00 on the school for a class a champagne after which they drove to the place of the party. I skipped that part though. The party started at 18:00. I came a 10 minutes past I think, and there were still a long queue of cars, I think I waited some 15 minutes before I could get out of the car. Then I walked inside, took a welcome drink and stood randomly. Most of the couples had pictures taken, and after a group picture we started to eat.

First course was some chicken salad. Main course was roastbeef, some potato pie, some boiled vegetables and some other shit. Dessert was Ice Cream pie, pretty nice :). I sad close to a few of my good friends from the class, so dinner was quite enjoyable, with a lot of cheers'es. With the dinner there was white, red and some dessert wine. I like the white and dessert wine ok. Between main course and dessert there were four speeches. Two teachers and two students.

After dessert our parents came in order to watch us dance the lancers (lancier in danish), but first the tables needed to be moved ect. I was part of the first team to dance. And I will have to say this was one of the highlights of the evening, if not the. It was quite fun. =) However also made me sweat.

After the dances the bar opened and this band called drengenes.dk started playing. Then the rest of the evening was kind of normal party with talking, drinking and random dancing. At 1:00 sandwiches were served. I didn't have any, as I weren't hungry due to the drinking. I tend to not feel like eating anything when I've gotten a little drunk. At 2:00 a bus came driving into Nykøbing, the "big" city around here. I had decided not to go there though. There wasn't space for everyone in the first bus, so I stayed there while the rest waited for the bus to come back.

While waiting a few guys from one of the other classes sitting at a table called on me. Not any I've ever talked much to, or at all. But appearently my countdown site (to last day of school) and elma skills had rumoured to them :). So we talked a little about that and some other stuff. Then the bus came and I called my dad to come pick me up.

My dad took some pictures, they are quite blury though.

Current situation

I realised that I never write anything about stuff like school and generel life sitaution. Maybe because it would be boring. Anyway I'll write a little about it here, which will maybe give a little better understanding of the other posts, or just a few minutes of laughs about my pathetic life. ;-)

I go to Handelsgymnasium, which in my dictionary translates to commercial upper-secondary school. Well I guess most who reads this knows what gymnasium is. I am at the third and last year, have around a month left of normal school days and then final exams, which scares the hell out of me. I would like nothing more than take these three years all over if I could with the same classmates ect. When finising school I have no idea what I wanna do. Well maybe a little. (I think I will write a post about this later.)

Just after summer holidays I have military service for six months. Not normal military service though, I'm doing civil defence forces. The place where you learn to be fireman, rescue people and such. I chosed this mainly because I don't want to be a part of the army with current government. Two guys I know pretty well are going there at the same time as me, and one more coming two months later.

I am 19 years old and hunger for some experimental wild teenage sex before I turn 20 this summer. I live with my parents, my brother moved from home some four years ago, and this school year my sister is at efterskole, school where you live at the school. So except weekends it's just me and my parents here. I plan to move from home in a not too distant future, but not untill after military service atleast. Various reasons for this. Such as better internet, to try to live in a big city, I have lived in a small village my whole life and getting just a bit tired of living with the same people, eating the same food ect. ect. Being able to order something from the internet without my parents knowing? ;-).

To copy insane guys intro post: On my desktop no. 1 is from right a bunch of donald duch and rolling stones magazines, a Britney Spears Biography, a back of Mini Brazil candy, Kløver Vaseline, en empty Jolly Coke bottle, an almost eaten easter egg, a tie, some random paper, a headset, my acer LCD monitor, two half empty chip bags, a donald dug mug, some bills, the new Hilary Duff CD, an BIG bunch of random paper from last few years, a lot of small coins I don't bother to use, a digital camera, a tape dispensor, make poverty history bracelets, Fructis Style gloss wax, my watch hanging from my the lights.

Desktop no. 2 from right an empty class, my Nokia 3310 with Britney Spears cover, a lot of pens and stuff in some holder, a flashlight, a small ball, a space jumper, a remote for my stereo, my logitech mouse for laptop, my laptop.

On normal days when I'm not in school I irc, check random websites, watch new series if any new that day, otherwise I watch some old I have (I love to do series marathons), play elma and smultronet if anyone online, sometimes watch a movie, eat with my parents, do homework. I pretty much only read while on toilet and in bed before sleeping.

I go to class with many of my closest friends. I don't have any real close friends, but a group of pretty good friends. We all (except one of two) met in 10th grade. Some of us knew some of them from before, but here we created a pretty good group of friends with 9 people. One or two more joined later. These are the primary, and pretty much only, people I meet up with outside school for parties, poker playing ect.

As for my virtual life I consider myself to have some 6-7 close online/irc friends, most of which I've met up with many times irl (example).

I think that sums up my life as it is right now pretty well.

Dignity

It finally arrived. \o/

End of holiday stress

Oh how I hate this. On the last day(s) of a holiday I always get so stressed over not wasting the last time of the holiday. Today is the last day of easter holiday. I used quite long time around noon trying to figure out what to do the rest of the day, should I watch a movie, in that case which, so I watch a tv show, in that case which, it has to be something good so I don't waste the last day of the holiday day ect ect.

I ended up watching an episode of Friends, then Hard Candy, then another friends episode, then some MKup306 cruising. And just now I made a new list on list of bests. I present to you, Kopaka's "Hottest People". A list of the 43 hottest people to walk the earth, in ranking order. If you wonder why there is only 41, it's because both t.A.T.u. girls are in one and so are both Olsen twins.

Party like it's your birthday

Friday evening biwer held his 20th birthday. (A friend of mine I went to 10th grade with.) My dad drove me there a little past six. When I arrived he came down to the kitchen, we said hello and I gave him my present, 2 easter eggs. Then I walked upstairs where the party was. When I came up there were some 6-7 people that I didn't knew or only knew by name, and one from my class. But just after I arrived another one from my class arrived, and soon after some more people I know arrived.

Those who were there before I arrived was playing some beer table game. I stod and watching them a little, but when those people I know arrived we sat us together at another table and started drinking. I had brought some Cuba Strawberry and Sprite to mix. We sat there a long time doing random smalltalk before the food came. It was some chicken, salad, french fries and bread. There wasn't very much of it though, only enough for one round to everyone. :-/ So I had to satisfy my hunger with a few more pieces of bread.

Rest of the evening untill we took into the town was spent with a poker game, then a game of mayer (a dice game), and then two games of pyramid (card drinking game). Those I didn't knew had ordered a taxa at 1:30, but we wanted to go to the town earlier so we ordered a taxa a little past twelve. The first taxa that game though was a wrong one, too small. So we had to wait a little more for another one to arrive.

When we got into town me and three others walked to a hot-dog stand. The three others had a french hot-dog, but I wasn't really hungry at that time. Then we joined the others at this bar called Morsø. When we came there was only one person beside us there. We still hung out there for a while though. Some of the others from the birthday party came there a little later. We stayed there untill the place closed, not that it was late, but they close because there was no people. Then two others and me walked to a discotek called Natasha. There were actually some people there, but we didn't stay for long though.

Then me and Dyhr walked to this bar/discotek called Loftet to see if there was anyone of the others there. There were not. We were there for a little while talking to this guy we both went to 10th grade with. So we decided to grab a pizza and take home. I had a hawaii ofcourse ;-), with dressing. He took a taxa home, as he lives by himself somewhere else in that same city. I called my dad, who came 15 mins later. While waiting I eat 4/6 of my pizza. The rest I had yesterday while watching The Prestige. Nice movie by the way.

Gotta love them tabs

After a lot of work, I made a tab system on the blog which you will see if you access if from http://www.kopaka.dk/blog. So far it only links to the blog and my movie reviews. There will probably come some more later. I don't really know what the point is beside collecting the pages under one. I had planed to have the tabs on the movie reviews page aswell, but that looked too ugly.

I stole the graphic from some other site, but don't tell anyone ;-)

Mopo Kup 3 Event 5

I know I said I would just play one event, but "pressure" from team StockCar have made me play this event aswell. Not to succesfully yet, but missed a decent run earlier today. It's another tijsjoris level. A little too straight forward for my liking though, it's so damn hard to improve in such levels, and pure hoyling isn't excatly my favourite thing.

Well, it's still a fun level. :)

the best damn thing

Earlier today I watched "Avril Lavigne Exclusive". And program sent on CBC a few days ago. It's a new Avril Lavigne concert with some interviews in between. At the concert she sung some songs from her new album "the best damn thing". I haven't really been able to decide wether I could like her new single "Girlfriend" and was a little afraid that the other songs on the album would be too much like that. This is not the case though, the songs she sung from her new album were are totally awesome =). Some of them kind of reminded of Girlfriend, but much better.

The album title song was especially great. Such can't wait for the album to come now. It's due 16th April. I haven't ordered it yet, but I will do so very soon.

More new albums

One album I forgot to mention in this post, is the new Good Charlotte album. I've loved the two prior albums, so I will probably end up buying this one aswell. It is released on.. hmm it seems it is already released. However I have heard the first single "Keep Your Hands Off My Girl". It differs some from what you normally hear from Good Charlotte, but I like it nonetheless. It has some kinda retro sound to it, atleast what I think sounds like retro.

I recall that there was some other new album released soon, but I can't remember it right now. Anyway, after listening to "Fairytale Gone Bad" by Sunrise Avenue a lot I finally acuired the whole album, and it is pretty good. So thanks a lot to Jonkka for recommending :*

Mopo Kup 3 Event 2

For a short moment before MKup3 started I wanted to play it, but I decided not too, as I didn't felt like using so much time on a cup again like I did during Master Cup 2, though I have no doubt I could easily have won MKup3 if I had wanted too. However, this brings me to the point. Sometime, maybe...

So I decided that I might play a single event if some nice level pop ups, which is exactly what has happened. Event 2 is an absolutely awesome level by tijsjoris. It has everything. Some shortcuts, but not too hard ones so it gets frustating. A lot a different styles which are almost equally fast. The perfect lenght, just over one minute. And that nice flow. I have played it some, but not much. So I might not win, but I'm confident I will get a decent placement, if I can only nail the ending.

Did I say how great a level it is?

=)

Snow at last

Wednesday morning some snow had fallen. There has been snow a few times earlier this season, but not much, not much at all. Barely anything that stayed on the ground for more than a few seconds. Wednesday there weren't much either. However enough to make me late for school. It continued to snow the whole day wednesday. Enough for my school to announce in the evening that the school was closed Thursday.

It continued to snow during the night and when I woke up thursday I could look out my window and see the most snow I've seen here the last 8 maybe 10 years. My sister is currently on such school were she stays over night, and my dad was on a business trip to russia. So it was only me and my mom at home. I spent the day watching ghost world, some the office and going out to the snow a little. It was still snowing and drifting some so the snow drifts continued to grow bigger during the day and the next night.

Thursday evening the school announced that they would announce in the morning wether it would be closed. I was pretty sure it was impossible to get to school still, and it turned out to be closed aswell friday. So it was another day watching some the office and borat. Apart from that I cleaned some of our driveway from snow and built a snow cave. Tried to make it a tunnel through a snow drift, but there was too far.

Friday also I drove a small trip to the other end of the village (1 km), in order to get some stuff. Those who's place I was going to hadn't cleaned their driveway from snow, eventhough I tried to drive into it, and was stuck. With a little push I managed to get out though.

New spring albums

I have over the last few days some new albums which are released this spring. These are from three of my very favourite singers.

First one is 'Hilary Duff - Dignity' which are released on April 3. I preordered the Deluxe Edition yesterday. It contains beside the album a DVD with 9 videos and some commentary by Duff, some photos and an "individually numbered signature card". It was rather expensive including postage, but she is my last.fm number one artist afterall. :)

Second one is 'Avril Lavigne - the best damn thing' which is released April 17. Avril Lavigne I've loved ever since the first single, different from the two others, Duff I discovered a year or some ago and Moore even more recently.

The last album is 'Mandy Moore - Wild Hope'. I currently only has a best of album of hers, so looking forward to hearing a complete studio album.

FVANG LAN

Sometime in early January we decided to have an FVANG LAN at my place this weekend.

Around 14:00 enil, Napol and Zerox arrived in enil's car. As they fixed up computers I had some lunch, and when I came back I realised I hadn't thought of any switch for the LAN. So enil quickly called epp, so he could bring Napol's. epp had to work untill 14:00 or something so he arrived later. While waiting for epp to arrive we played to battles, and basketball on my basketball game.

epp arrived around 17:00. As he fixed up comp we attached Napol's switch to our internet. However it did not work. Luckily epp bought his router aswell. It worked, had only four ports though, but that was no problem as I did wireless.

However a short time afterwards when we were going to play smultronet I could not connect. As I consulted my father I remembered my little sister has a switch. So we tried that one and it worked. \o/ I could not connect before as the router creates some kind of under network.

For dinner my parents bought some family pizzas. Some hawaii and kebab were eaten. That was nice for my stomach. Rest of the night was spent with some battling and smultronet. And random stening ofcourse.

Around 21:00 we drove 5 km to the nearest shop, to get some soda and chips ect. Around 3:00 we went to bed.

When everyone had woken up the next day we had some bread for breakfast. A few days before the LAN we had talked about going to Jesperhus in order to play bowling. So in the afternoon we booked a lane for two hours. Firstly Zerox tried to book, but failed. Then a short time after I tried and succeded.

Apart from that the afternoon was spent with some more battling, smultronet and stening. Also epp, enil and napol played a game of Dota.

My parents cooked a nice dinner, which we rushed a bit through in order to get to the bowling place in time, which were at 20:00. epp ruled. He won the first two games, Zerox won the third. In the last game of which we only played 7 rounds before the time went out, epp won again and I was second. Apart from the last round I sucked pretty hard.

Back we had a few beers and more battling and smultronet. And some leeching obviously. Around 2:00 we made some toasts, and went to bed around 4:00.

In the morning my father had bought rundstykker. After that some last time leeching and such.

They all left a little past 14:00.

GG LAN <3

PS. Battle results are intentionally left out of this entry, all to say is that I won two and enil won far too many.

PSS. I'll upload pictures later.

32" LCD TV

I have for a long time now been wanting to get a new TV, as my old only is a 21". The weekend the 27-28 january we got the new Bilka magazine, in which my sister found a laptop she wanted to buy. Afterwards I check out the magazine for nice TVs and found a 32" LCD pretty cheap. It was also a discount brand, so I wanted to go to the shop to check out the quality. Hence we decided to take down there Tuesday 30.

After comparing the TV to the other TVs they had in Bilka I decided to get the one I had looked at. It's a Prosonic 32" Widescreen LCD HDTV. Enourmous when I unpacked it in my room. :P

But nice, really nice.

Best of 2006 edit

I changed my mind about best song of 2006, Maneater wins instead of Because Of You. Has been edited in the previous post.

Best of 2006

Sorry about the delay, but some catagories was very hard to decide. Like last year the runner ups are more of less sorted. Here are the best of 2006!

Movie

Imagine Me & You

Runner ups:
Just Like Heaven
V for Vendetta
Just Friends
Superman Return

Comment: What would seem like a mediocre romantic comedy turned out to be one of the best movie love stories. Maybe not a year with big competition, and only two movie rated 10. However this doesn't mean Imagine Me & You wasn't a really really great movie.

TV Show

Alias

Runner ups:
Scrubs
How I Met Your Mother
Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip
Lost

Comment: This was very hard to decide. Scrubs is a really great show aswell. Season four of Alias was awesome and kept up the great standards the previous seasons had set.

Song

Nelly Furtado - Maneater

Runner ups:
Kelly Clarkson - Because Of You
Panic! at the Disco - I Write Sins not Tragedies
Nelly Furtado - All Good Things (Come to an End)
Roxette - One Wish

Comment: Extremely hard one this year aswell. Because Of You is a really nice song, but Maneater have that great power in it, and Nelly Furtado has a great voice too. Maneater didn't have me hooked from the beginning though, it took some time before I discovered how good it was. I Write Sins not Tragedies was close too.

Music

Hilary Duff

Runner ups:
Kelly Clarkson
Britney Spears
Mandy Moore
Shakira
Vanilla Ninja

Comment: Last.fm stats says everything. Didn't start using last.fm before June though, that was also around when I started listening Hilary Duff. 1,246 plays, around 3 times as much as the second place. Have developed a greate love for Hilary Duff during the last year.

Master Cup 2 12th place
Flag Tag win at DEM06
skintatious 4th place on kinglist at one point, 8th now

Comment: Though I probably used more time on Master Cup 2 during the year, it was just such a relief to finally get Upside Down back after 3½ years of trying. Hopefully it will last this time.
